Exploring Space: Architecture and the Museum Experience
June 29 - July 2 (Monday through Thursday)
9 am - 3 pm, with aftercare available until 5 pm ($30/hr)
For 6 - 8-year-olds and 9 - 12-year-olds
This week, campers will discover how environments shape the way we see and can experience art. Inspired by the iconic spiral design of the Guggenheim, created by Frank Lloyd Wright, students will look closely at how curves, light, and movement guide visitors through space.
Campers will also explore how museums connect across cities and cultures, as reflected in the Guggenheim's global constellation. Students will imagine new kinds of spaces for art and consider how architecture can reflect the world around us.
At the end of the week, we'll celebrate together at a special exhibition in the Education Center that showcases the campers' artwork.
This is an experience your child won't want to miss. Sign up now; space is limited.
This is a drop-off program. Each week-long camp is limited to 30 children, and registration is required.
Fees: Members $650, general $750. Please see our frequently asked questions for information regarding class refunds and other policies. Questions? Email [email protected].
