We recently had the opportunity to review Classic Harbor Line's Manhattan yacht tour. It was a beautiful summer night in August, and my daughters and I had a great trip. We parked in the Chelsea Piers parking lot and walked over to the pier.
The boat was there waiting for us and we boarded right on time.
The yacht was a beautiful boat with a lovely deck for watching the sights pass by. We sat down in the cabin on comfy cushions and were offered a complementary first drink. They had beer, wine, mixed drinks and soda. I tried a local brew.
The captain gave us the run down of the local sights and a bit of a history lesson as well. The tour led us through the Hudson and we were able to view many iconic landmarks. We saw the Statue of Liberty on Ellis Island, Governors Island, the Chrysler building, the Empire State Building, many bridges including the Brooklyn bridge and the beautiful skyline at sunset.
We were lucky and had beautiful weather. We enjoyed the sights on the deck with a cool breeze. I highly recommend this if you are ever in New York City. We had a great time. Is it perfect for all ages and can be quite romantic so it would make a great date. There is no food availableon certain cruises, but they welcome you to bring a picnic to enjoy while on board.
